A man has been arrested and charged with vandalizing vehicles in East Boston

Santos Moscoso faces 38 counts of willful and wanton destruction of property.

Boston police made an arrest Thursday in connection with a series of vandalism to cars on Boston’s east side.

Santos Moscoso, 47, of East Boston, was arrested on 74th Summer Street on “multiple” East Boston District Court warrants in connection with incidents of broken-down vehicles in the neighborhood, police said. He faces 38 counts of willful and wanton destruction of property over $1,200.

The arrests came after residents of Breman Street in East Boston called on the city to repair multiple damages to their cars, including scratches to the keys, in less than a month.

Police said Moscoso will be arraigned in East Boston District Court.
