TMZ recently had a brief interview with Angela Bassett when they caught up with her at Wally’s in Los Angeles. But during the exchange, she stuck to Marvel’s iconic code of silence when talking about the new Black Panther movie.

In case you didn’t know, many fans speculated that Letitia Wright, who stars as Shuri in the film, would potentially be the next to don the Black Panther’s indestructible suit.

Regardless, Bassett admitted that fans are smart because Wright’s tech-savvy scientist character is definitely the best to take the reins. But she did not confirm the speculation.

She then gave us a hint by telling the keen eyes to “watch for signs and symbols”.

Meanwhile, some fans have noticed that the pattern of white dots on the new Panthera mask certainly resembles the patterns on Shuri’s face.

Additionally, Bassett took a bit of a dig when she said that the Marvel Cinematic Universe made the right move by choosing not to cast Chadwick Boseman’s character.

The IMDb site wrote that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will follow, ‘The nation of Wakanda is pitted against intervening world powers as it mourns the loss of its king, T’Challa.’

The film is directed and written by Ryan Coogler. Additionally, the upcoming film will end T’Challa’s story due to the tragic death of actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020.

Boseman died at the age of 43 after a battle with colon cancer. He never publicly announced that he was suffering from the disease, instead carrying on as if he was not sick.

Coogler said in a press release, “Chadwick was very much my artistic partner. We worked together on where we wanted the story to go.’

Additionally, Winston Duke, who plays M’baku, added, “We have all suffered an incredible loss. All of us together ended up using those feelings to create something really special.”

Still, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to hit theaters on November 11.

Starring Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett. Namor’s character Tenoch Huerta will most likely be seen as the film’s main antagonist.
