Arsene Wenger is telling Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham this summer

The striker is approaching the final year of his contract, signed in 2018, as Spurs face a 15th year without silverware, extending the England captain’s free spell.
Kane has been linked with a move away from Spurs in recent years, as has Manchester United, but interviews this week suggest he is now ready to stay.
Wenger agrees it would be best for Kane to win another trophy for Spurs before he unlocks his full potential in a year’s time.
He told BeIN Sport: “If you’re his agent, Harry Kane has one more year, after a year he’s completely free, what do you say to him?
“Give your club one last chance and then you leave. It’s not about the money, but in the end, it’s always about the money. It will cost no less than 80 million pounds. You don’t find strikers of this quality.”
Kane has recently spoken of his desire to change the culture at Spurs and plans to hold talks with the likes of chairman Daniel Levy ahead of the new season.
Wenger believes that Kane is saying that “to be good at the game, not everyone has to give maximum performance in training”.
Hugo Lloris will miss the final weeks of the season due to a groin injury
The former Arsenal manager said: ‘Is it down to the character of the players or the atmosphere in the training ground or the coaches? I do not know.
“You have to be with the players every day to know what’s really going on, what’s working and what’s not. You have to create a culture within the club that allows players to perform.
“You need clear rules so that everyone can see what you will tolerate and what you won’t. When we talk about values, most of the time it’s about what we don’t allow.
“Players like Harry Kane have high standards. He’s upset now because over the years the team has looked up. For two or three years they seem to have failed again.’
