Chainsaw Man music: Anime features 12 different ending theme songs

0

Chainsaw Man will only have one official opening, but the anime will feature 12 different ending theme songs as part of its upcoming release.

From Black Clover and Tokyo Ghoul to Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga, exceptional music can elevate any anime to new heights, which is why theme tunes remain a central aspect of every new series premiere.

As a result, it is incredibly important that the right choice is made for the success of an opening or ending anime theme song; something that puts considerable pressure on the production team, who (traditionally) only have to choose one opening and closing song per season.

Chainsaw Man is definitely not throwing all its demons into one basket, with confirmation that the upcoming 12-episode series will feature 12 different ending theme songs!

Chainsaw Man: Anime Opening Theme Song

The fantastic opening theme song in the Chainsaw Man anime series is called “Kick Back” and is performed by the extremely talented Kenshi Yonezu.

Kenshi Yonezu is a Japanese musician, composer, producer and illustrator who previously performed under the professional name ‘Hachi’.

“I wrote the song ‘KICK BACK’ for the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man. I’m honored because I liked the original work anyway. The work has tremendous power, so it was very difficult for him to find a suitable sound. I hope, you will like it. Thank you very much in advance.” – Kenshi Yonezu, via chainsawman.dog.

The 31-year-old has released five albums ‘Diorama’, ‘Yankee’, ‘Bremen’, ‘Bootleg’ and ‘Stray Sheep’; with over 4.2 million physical copies sold and over 7 million digital copies in Japan.

In an interview with Cakes.Mu, Yonezu shared how he was diagnosed with high-functioning autism when he was in his 20s, revealing how “at the time it was a feeling of ‘I see’ or ‘it makes sense.’ “

“I guess I accepted it. I have long felt that I was such a creature, and whether it was called or not, I always thought that society was tiresome. And besides, it’s not like I can change anything that’s already happened. But gradually I started to say “oh well.” I realized I had to live with the hand I was dealt.” – Kenshi Yonezu, via Cakes.Mu.

He also featured prominently virtually in the video game Fortnite, which was described as a “big hit as a pioneer of the Metaverse”.

Fans should note that the order of the ending theme songs does not reflect the order in which they will appear in the anime, as this has not yet been officially confirmed.

“I started music because I wanted to be popular and I continue music because I want to be popular. In that regard, I think I have a similar mentality to Denji. When I was asked to write the music for “Chainsaw Man”, I wondered what music I would write if I were Denji. I thought she would probably scream her emotions. I think that’s how the song turned out. It’s a song that really means a lot to me. I really hope this song will make the work even more amazing. I hope you enjoy the song along with the “Chainsaw Man” anime. – Comment by Syudou via the official website.

Queen Bee commented, “We are happy to provide Queen Bee’s special song ‘Violence’ to the anime ‘Chainsaw Man’ this time.

“We hope that in the 4 minutes of the song (89 seconds for the end of the anime ver.), you can feel the feeling of the warriors, the jumping tension, the vivid intensity and the ease of life and death, and let your heart go crazy.” – Queen Bee’s comment via the official website.

The group then excitedly exclaimed, “I’m sure you’ll want to scream “Vaaaioooooooooooorensssss !!!!!!!!!!! I’m sure you’ll want to scream, “Vaaaaiioreenssssssss!”. Finally, he added, “How many episodes will color the ending? Hi! I can’t wait to release it live! Please look forward to literally dancing like crazy.”

“It was a job that helped me through emotional milestones so I was happy and I didn’t want to finish it all the time and my life force came alive so I went home and watered the plants and let the water soak into the cat’s paw pads, I made a song that for me was about the enrichment process. I don’t know if I really mean what I’m saying, even if it looks like I’m just messing around. But I want to be petted. I was possessed by a spirit of intransigence and hatred. Thank you for your patronage. ACA (I wish it was midnight all the time.)” – Zutomayo commented via the official website.
