Chicago police are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a man, a teenager in Humboldt Park – NBC Chicago

A man and a teenager were shot and killed by an unknown assailant after entering an apartment building in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood Saturday afternoon, police said.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., officers were called to a building in the 3300 block of West Potomac for a shooting. The adult victim, a 40-year-old man, was shot in the right arm and is in good condition in hospital, police said. A 13-year-old boy was shot in the right leg and is believed to be in good condition.

It is not known what caused the shooting.

Five Precinct detectives are investigating the shooting.
