Chicago’s best and worst restaurant week deals, according to Reddit user’s spreadsheet – NBC Chicago

Chicago Restaurant Week is here, and more than 330 restaurants in the city and suburbs are ready to shake hungry residents out of the winter doldrums and hit the restaurants for a delicious meal.

But with three different prices—$25, $42, and $59—hundreds of menus and dozens of Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs, choosing a place to eat lunch or dinner can be a little difficult. And it can be difficult to navigate the menus and prices of restaurants that offer the best deals compared to regular meals.

But a Chicago Restaurant Week spreadsheet and map, courtesy of two Reddit users on a Chicago food thread, can help.

To help you evaluate the best deals, the spreadsheet divides the deals into several categories, including “59 Best Dinners,” “Top 42 Dinners,” and “Money Savers,” each based on Restaurant Week. restaurant. menu “compared to the current menu”.

While the Reddit post admits the calculations aren’t perfect, the spreadsheet includes tabs that show a rough estimate of the cost savings and cost of certain meals at certain locations.

A spreadsheet tab attempts to calculate “best-spent” options, where restaurants offer a collection of deals for the week that may cost more than what a restaurant would pay for a la carte items.

According to the spreadsheet, the Chicago restaurant deals that offer the “best $59 lunches” — or rather, the most value for lunch — are Nia, Sengatore, Publican, The Kitchen, Gene and Georgetti, Torali, Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse and Carmine’s.

On the other hand, some of the “most spent” deals include bistronomic, Sumo Tokyo, LIVA, Osteria Langhe and Lakefront deals, according to the spreadsheet.

As in previous years, the full spreadsheet can be viewed here.
