Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid continued his impressive scoring streak on Wednesday, scoring twice against the Toronto Maple Leafs to extend his multi-point streak to five games.
McDavid is only the fifth player in NHL history to score two or more goals in five games ESPN stats and info. He joins Alexander Mogilny and Hall of Famers Mario Lemieux, Joe Malone and Punch Broadbent as the only players to accomplish the feat.
If McDavid can score two or more goals against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday, he will join Broadbent and Malone for the longest multi-goal streak in NHL history.
McDavid wasted no time hitting a pair of his own Wednesday night, hitting both in the first period.
