Cristiano Ronaldo was in action for Al Nassr on Friday (December 1) during their Saudi Professional League match against Al Hilal. The top-of-table match was played at Al Hilal’s home ground, King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh. The table-toppers won the match by a margin of 3-0 to open a seven-point lead over Ronaldo’s side.

For the hosts, Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić, who joined Al Hilal from Lazio in the summer transfer window, scored the first goal in the 64th minute of the match, and then his countryman and former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrović scored two goals in the 89th and 92nd minutes to seal the deal. Mitrovic’s second goal was assisted by Milinković-Savić.

In the match between the two star-studded sides, Al Hilal fans mocked Ronaldo by chanting Lionel Messi’s name at the top of their voices. In several videos going viral on the internet, fans can be seen shouting Messi’s name at Ronaldo when he was entering the dugout at halftime, and in a savage response, he shut them up by blowing flying kisses.

Here’s the video:

Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in December last year after his contract with Manchester United was terminated after mutual consent between the two parties, has scored 15 goals in the last 14 matches to top the scoring charts. He helped Al-Nassr reach second place in the league behind Al-Hilal. His teammates now include former Liverpool star Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan, and Alex Telles from Manchester United.

Mane joined Al Nassr after leaving Bayern Munich, which he joined in the summer transfer window last year.

Ronaldo will be next seen in action on Friday (December 8), when Al Nassr will host Al Riyadh at Al Awal Park at King Saud University. With just four wins in 15 matches played so far, Al Riyadh are 12th in the points table.
