Diddy joins Kanye West To boycott Adidas after Rapper feud with the brand
Diddy and Swizz Beatz have reportedly joined the fight alongside Kanye West against Adidas. Rapper ‘Donda’, 45, has been in a public feud with Adidas and Gap, the two companies he previously signed deals with, to tell his Yeezy label that they accuse them of abandoning him when it comes to meetings about his stuff and stealing his proposals.
Following Ye’s public shaming of the brands, Diddy, 52, and rapper/musician Swizz Beatz, 43, took to their social media platforms to show their support for Kanye West. In a screenshot of a text message posted independently on Diddy and Kanye West’s Instagram accounts, Diddy told the “Gold Digger” artist, “Please can you [sic] send me something to post on your site! I could write a post in support of you! I will never wear Adidas in the future for the rest of my life on the off chance that they don’t do you right!!!!
Kanye West legally known as Ye responded to the post: “Praise God I love you. Another image on the post revealed an image of a Yeezy-like shoe released by Adidas with a red “x” above the photo. Music producer and rapper Swizz Beatz also shared his support for Kanye West, posting an ex’d out pair of shoes with the caption: “Usually I mind my stuff but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest , it will happen to us!
Rapper Diddy vows to boycott Adidas following Kanye West’s feud with the brand
Kanye West’s allies are reportedly gearing up for his relentlessly heated showdown with Adidas, and he currently has several hip hop heavyweights willing to stand with him. Both Swizz Beatz and Diddy have supported Kanye West’s recent attacks against footwear brand Adidas with their own Instagram posts. Swizz Beatz, who is currently embroiled in a legal culture war with Triller over Verzuz, admitted to meddling in the discussion, but also urged Adidas to treat Ye like Spike Lee and make the best decision.
The post was reportedly backed by industry execs like Bu Thiam and Dre London… and eventually Diddy, who messaged Ye and promised not to wear anything Adidas until things were streamlined. Diddy credited Run-DMC for putting the brand at the forefront of hip-hop fashion, however he took steps to burn it all down, assuming Ye and the culture would be further disrespected. CEO Bad Boy was created as a guardian of sorts in the year 2022 … occupying the exact same position as Swizz and Timbaland in their battle against Triller. Ye accuses Sportswear of allegedly stealing his designs, only to sell them in lower-quality and expensive versions, and demanding meetings with various company bosses.
