FG should immediately sign the completed contract with ASUU – Falana, #immediately #sign #finished #agreement #ASUU #Falana Welcome to BLOG 50MIND SHere’s the latest broadcast news and trends we’ve got for you today: :
Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana, urged the Nigerian government to sign a renegotiated agreement with striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
A senior advocate of Nigeria on Sunday pleaded with Asua leaders and the current administration of the Federal Government to open the pending negotiations on an extended strike for the goodwill of Nigerian students.
While we call on the Federal Government and ASUU to open the pending negotiations in the interest of the country and the people, the Federal Government should also be prevailed upon to end the protracted industrial action.
He also accused the Federal Government of blackmailing the University Academic Staff and recalled how the meeting with the union ended in dreadlocks, a situation that dashed the hopes of Nigerian students.
The rights lawyer is of the view that the government should commit to the faithful implementation of the collective agreements reached with ASUU, which are justified by the morality of the relevant provisions of the Trade Disputes Act, instead of accepting the option of blackshirt prescribing of unions.
