French Montana Video: At least 10 people were injured in a shooting at the location of the video clip

At least 10 people were injured in a shooting outside a restaurant where rapper French Montana was filming a music video in Miami Gardens, Florida, according to a statement from the restaurant and the Miami-Dade Fire Department (MDFR).

“Our hearts go out and stand with the victims of this senseless act,” DJ Khaled’s restaurant group, The Licking, said in a statement to CNN.

“We didn’t know the video was being filmed and at the last minute French Montana was filming the scene in the back parking lot. “We don’t know what really happened,” he continued, adding that “Licking’s restaurant had nothing to do with the incident and provided the police with the footage they requested.”

CNN has contacted Miami Gardens police for details on the shooting investigation.

According to the MDFR, emergency responders were dispatched just before 8:00 p.m. ET after receiving reports of a multi-casualty incident.

“On arrival, firefighters found several patients with traumatic injuries. In addition to finding injured patients at their original location, firefighters found other injured patients outside a nearby fire station, emergency officials said.

“Firefighters immediately began triaging the patients to assess the extent of their injuries and transport them to the hospital,” MDFR reports. “A total of 10 patients were injured as a result of the incident. Four of the patients were taken to regional hospitals on their own. MDFR transported the remaining 6 patients to local trauma centers via ground and air rescue.

CNN has reached out to French Montana for comment.
