Primate Elijah Ayodele, a leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stated that fuel will soon cost N250 per liter and clean water will cost N50.
According to the Dail Post, Primate Ayodele said this when he predicted that the rate of inflation would rise sharply.
He said that five liters of groundnut oil would cost N5,000, a kilo of garri would cost N1,500 and cement would cost between N5,500 and N6,000.
In a statement signed by his spokesman, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele said the situation in the country is deteriorating to the point that the police and military will go on strike because the government will not be able to pay their salaries.
According to Ayodele, “our economy is in chaos; the police and army will soon go on strike over non-payment.”
“There will be inflation in the country and clean water will be sold at N50, local rice will be sold at N30,000, five liters of groundnut oil at N5,000, there will be no bread at N200, Congo garri will be sold at N1,500, you will not be able to support yourself N1,000, cement will sell for N5,500 to N6,000, minerals will sell for N200 and petrol will still go for N250 per litre.”
“Nothing comes out of this government; it is messed up and will hurt the rich and the poor, and even the banks will fail and be forced to lay off employees. With this economy, the private sector is facing tough times; international corporations will begin to close.”
