Greater Huntsville CEO discusses community education mission
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Leadership Greater Huntsville strives to “identify, nurture, inspire and connect community leaders” through a variety of programs for students to senior leaders.
Shannon Drake, President and CEO of Leadership Greater Huntsville, joined Leadership Perspectives to talk about the nonprofit’s initiatives, as well as its programs, courses and goals.
The organization offers courses to educate the community, from students to senior staff, about where they live and work and how to improve it. Programs include interviews with regional government leaders, behind-the-scenes discussions and interactive program days.
Courses cover topics such as local government, education, Redstone Arsenal, nonprofits, and the arts.
Drake also discusses their alumni network and the networking opportunities the programs provide to members of the Huntsville community.
