Hilarious Halloween Ends memes take digs at divisive sequel

What is the most important part in the trilogy? The first post probably always has the hardest job, making sure the audience is introduced and invested in the story. The latter acts as a very important bridge that expands on the original while facilitating a satisfying finale. But the third episode… well, no matter how good the first two are, the ending is always what the audience remembers.

David Gordon Green’s Halloween was released in 2018 and served as an older sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 classic. Halloween Kills proved much more divisive and took some risks, leaving many people unsure about Halloween Ends.

Now it’s here, one thing is for sure: no one could have predicted it. The final film in the Blumhouse trilogy marks a radical departure from its two predecessors and jumps forward four years.

It’s being widely discussed online right now, and thankfully the meme creators are out in full force. So we thought we’d scour Twitter to find some hilarious Halloween Ends memes for you to enjoy.

“Did You Hear A Pin Drop”

David recently spoke with Collider about filming the final act, specifically the scene where Michael Myers meets his ultimate end and is shredded in front of the residents of Haddonfield.

“When we film that definitive moment, there are 200 people standing around the mechanism watching. A pin could be heard to drop. It’s this loud ass-grinding mechanism and there’s not a single person making any noise. It’s total silence, and that’s kind of the time when we’re all mesmerized by what’s going on.’

He added: “In that scene in particular, we were just blown away and when we looked at it, it worked and it’s beautiful and strange and quiet, again you have to stick to some direction you’re going and that one felt at peace in a way. “

Halloween isn’t over yet

Halloween Ends is the thirteenth installment in the overall franchise and marks the end of David and Blumhouse’s trilogy.

However, Jason Blum confirmed during an interview with ScreenRant that this is not the last film in the franchise.

“I didn’t say it was going to be the last Halloween movie,” he explained. “It’s our last Halloween movie. We have no rights to another Halloween, so it goes back to Malek [Akkad]. And only he knows what he’s doing, but we’re done. And this is our last one, and I think people will be very happy.”

Although no upcoming project has been officially announced yet, we can safely expect Haddonfield’s iconic boogeyman to be back in the lineup.

Halloween Ends is now in theaters and streaming on Peacock.
