The Wienermobile becomes a wedding car – at least for a few days.
The iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will briefly transform into the “Love Wienermobile” in Las Vegas, the meat brand announced in a press release. Hot dog-loving couples can hop aboard the Wienermobile and get married to the drivers of the famous Hotdogger.
According to a press release, the feature is “designed to take the stress out of wedding planning and highlight the joy that weddings bring.”
The “unique all-expenses-paid” ceremonies will take place on Saturday and Sunday, the statement said.
In addition to the 27-foot-long hot dog truck itself, light-hearted festivities will include a “quartet of live sausage whistles” and a “wonderful sausage cake,” according to the release.
According to Oscar Mayer’s website, applications are now closed for a special elopement opportunity for those who want a chance to get married for free. The website explains that couples must obtain a valid Nevada marriage license for their Wienermobile ceremony.
“The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile holds such a special place in the hearts of fans that we receive thousands of requests to be part of the company every year. Big days for couples,” said Ed Roland, senior director of brand communications for Oscar Mayer at The Kraft Heinz.
“As more and more people are looking for stress-free ceremonies with their partners, our hotdoggers are excited to bring the joy of that special day and offer them a unique experience: weddings through flesh-colored glasses. . . .”
