In Lincoln County, “career breakers” were tracked down and arrested

Lincoln County, Ala. (WHNT) – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department (LCSD) said two “career offenders” were arrested earlier this week, ending a recent string of robberies across several counties and states.
Henry Dwayne Thompson and Teresa Baker were arrested on Tuesday, February 28.
LCSD said deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver initially refused to pull over. When they stopped, authorities said the two suspects fled on foot.
K9 units responded to the scene and helped apprehend the pair after a short foot chase.
Authorities said the pair is suspected of committing multiple burglaries between Alabama’s Madison County and Giles and Lincoln counties in Tennessee. Deputies and investigators “aggressively” searched for Thompson and Baker as suspects because they “avoided arrests between counties and states.”
The two are believed to be involved in recent tri-county thefts of trailers, cars and stolen vehicles. Two trailers, three vehicles and one RV were recovered from Lincoln County, LCSD said.

Sheriff Murray Blackwelder and his administration praised all law enforcement agencies that assisted in the case and praised Madison and Giles counties for their assistance.
Both men are currently being held without bond in the Lincoln County Jail.
