is Cassadee Dunlap’s dad ok? Ronald Dunlap ‘critical’ after being shot Multiple Times
The father of Cheer star Cassadee Dunlap is in critical condition after he was shot Saturday when he accidentally walked into the wrong apartment in Arkansas. A 49-year-old man entered the wrong apartment at a complex in Little Stone around 3 a.m. and was subsequently shot by the owner, local channel KATV reported. A representative of the Little Rock Police Division said that Ronald Dunlap had been drinking with his nephew and several companions before trying to direct his direction to loft 12D instead of his own apartment 15C. Joshua Womack, owner of apartment 12D, said he was reportedly sleeping when he heard the banging. Womack, 23, said he “woke up and got my gun” and fired five or six shots at Cassadee Dunlap’s father, Ron Dunlap.
Police reportedly found Ronald Dunlap lying face down outside Womack’s apartment and were able to get enough help to take him to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. Ronald Dunlap’s daughter Cassadee Dunlap, who appeared in the second season of the Netflix hit Cheer, has not yet commented. Former Navarra cheerleader and Toddlers and Tiaras star Cassadee Dunlap now works as a part-time cheerleader mentor at the University of Arkansas. Little Rock Police said the investigation is reportedly ongoing and no charges have been filed.
Netflix series Cheerleader Cassadee Dunlap’s dad has reportedly been shot
Cheerleader Cassadee Dunlap’s father has reportedly been left fighting for his life after being shot multiple times after entering a seedy apartment in Little Rock, Arkansas. The OTT star has not yet spoken publicly about the incident, but identification evidence has confirmed that it is, in fact, Dunlap’s father, Ronald Dunlap. The homeowner allegedly fired a shot out of fear, leaving Ronald Dunlap in an insecure state. Local television channel KATV reports that after Dunlap entered the attic of 12 D, instead of Joshua Womack, and not 15 C, Womack fired multiple rounds at the man. The incident occurred around 3:12 a.m. on Saturday, September 10 at the Canopy Apartments.
Womack explained that he was fast asleep when he heard a knock on the door. Then he woke up, took his gun and fired five or six shots at Dunlap. By the time the police arrived, they found the subject lying face down just outside Womack’s apartment. The 49-year-old man was somehow rescued by authorities at the scene and was then taken to Baptist Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
The reason Dunlap got the wrong apartment is because he was allegedly drunk. TMZ reports that a Little Rock PD representative says Dunlap was at a bar or club with his nephew before he returned home to find a bad apartment. Dunlap’s sibling David also says he is fighting for his life and that a neighbor’s door was also hit in the sad episode. So far, no charges have been filed. Dunlap was previously paired with Alisha Miller Dunlap Hinson, who worked on TLC’s Cheer Perfection. Additionally, Cassadee Dunlap and Alisha were featured on TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras.
