Jalen Hurts quit Lil Wayne’s agency after posing for a photo with rapper Donald Trump.

Fox Sports 1 host Skip Bayless has claimed that Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and his agent, Nicole Lynn Wayne, have left Lil Wayne’s APAA Young Money sports agency after posing for a photo with Donald Trump.

Wayne met with Trump ahead of the 2020 election to discuss Plan Platinum, a financial aid initiative for the black community. Wayne and Trump pose for a photo after their “big meeting.”

In a video tweet released last week, Bayless explains how she believes Hurts and her agent decided to leave Wayne’s agency after Wayne’s photo with Trump was revealed.

In 2021, Trump pardoned Wayne on federal gun charges.

“President Trump has granted a full pardon to Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., also known as ‘Lil Wayne,'” White House press secretary Kylie McEnany said at the time. “Mr. Carter pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon more than 10 years ago. Brett Berish, a spokesman for Sovereign Brands, which supports Mr. Carter, describes him as “trustworthy, friendly and generous.”

“Mr. Carter demonstrated this generosity by donating to various charities, including research hospitals and numerous food banks. Deion Sanders, who also wrote in support of this grace, calls Mr. Wayne a family caregiver, a friend to many, a man of faith, a natural helper of the less fortunate, a guide and (and) a game changer. .’”

Given Bayless’ close relationship with Wayne, it makes sense that the rapper would be the source of this information as to why Hurts left the agency. And with the political tension in the NFL, Hurts and his agent could no doubt decide to end their relationship with Wayne over his photo op with Trump and his endorsement of his re-election campaign.

It seems odd that Hurts would have entered into a business relationship with Wayne in the first place if his close ties to Trump were so important. Trump’s overwhelming endorsement of Wayne is no secret. Their meeting and their photo together became public knowledge.

Perhaps Hurts and his agent were looking for a way out of the deal with Wayne and decided to politicize it? Who knows?

But something is wrong.
