Jeffrey Dahmer’s accuser discusses new Netflix series

The new Netflix series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” is generating a lot of buzz from viewers around the world.

But former Milwaukee DA Michael McCann doesn’t seem impressed with the show. For the uninitiated, McCann personally sued Jeffrey Dahmer in the 1990s.

He recently sat down for an interview with TMZ to share his thoughts on Netflix’s latest true crime drama.

During the interview, McCann noted that the show’s characterization of the Milwaukee Police Department was ridiculous. He was referring to the depiction of cops ignoring obvious clues because the case involved gays and/or blacks.

Furthermore, McCann admitted that he has not yet watched the series. However, he suspects that the streaming platform will most likely portray the show as an anti-polo.

McCann added that the episodes would lean more heavily on perceived racial and homophobic bias.

Jeffrey Dahmer’s accuser denies homophobic bias by police

During the interview, Michael McCann denied the characterization of police officers in the Netflix series. He claimed that neither race nor sexual orientation influenced the police’s decision to investigate Jeffrey Dahmer’s case.

In addition, McCann mentioned that if the police had known about Dahmer’s heinous crimes, they would have taken immediate action to prevent it despite the victims’ backgrounds.

He further explained that Dahmer’s motive was not to allow the truth to be revealed sooner. Additionally, he added, Dahmer covered his tracks well and didn’t leave much evidence for the police to suspect him.

How did Jeffery Dahmer get caught?

In July 1991, Jeffery Dahmer met 32-year-old Tracy Edwards at a local pub in Milwaukee. He invited him to his apartment by insisting that Tracy model some pictures.

But the foul smell in Dahmer’s apartment raised red flags in Tracy’s head. Subsequently, he somehow managed to escape from the place.

Fortunately, Tracy was able to get hold of two police officers and relay the story to them. In addition, the police escorted him to Dahmer’s apartment.

Upon investigation, they found disturbing polaroids of his dismembered human bodies. Dahmer was therefore immediately taken into custody.

He later confessed to killing 17 men and boys. Dahmer received 16 life sentences for rape, murder, dismemberment and cannibalism.
