The Golden State Warriors are 19 months removed from winning an NBA title but find themselves near the bottom of the Western Conference standings at 22-25. Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry made another All-Star team this season but the rest of the team is struggling, including his longtime backcourt partner Klay Thompson.

Thompson’s enduring arguably his worst season since he became a starter for the Warriors back in 2012-13, punctuated by a rough shooting stretch over the last week (32.5% from the field, 16% from three-point range). Warriors coach Steve Kerr opted to keep Thompson on the bench for the final seven minutes of Monday’s 109-98 win over the Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn.

After the win, Thompson spoke about his cold streak with reporters in the locker room.

“I feel great physically, mentally is probably a different story,” he said.
