The latest club representative to rule out a move for the Portugal international is Estiarte, head of player support and protocol at the Citizens and a member of Pep Guardiola’s backroom staff.
Silva has often been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium and one LaLiga side interested in him is Barcelona.
In contrast, Esiarte has sided with Guardiola and co by refusing to leave and will take the pitch against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League this evening.
In Spanish, he informed radio station RAC1 that “Bernardo is playing today and staying at City”.
