Mykhailo Mudric should ditch Arsenal for a ‘better project’ at Chelsea, says pundit
The two Premier League clubs are in talks to sign the Ukrainian winger from Shakhtar Donetsk for £85million.
Chelsea, who are planning to sign Joao Felix on loan, are trailing Arsenal in the race for Mudric as he favors a move to north London.
Despite the Gunners sitting top of the Premier League, former striker Collymore believes the long-term project at Stamford Bridge is “good”.
He told CaughtOffside: “I know some fans will say, given the current situation at both clubs, if he chooses the Blues over the Gunners, it will only be for the money.
“Maybe it’s true, but Chelsea remains the most attractive project for me. if [Todd] Bohli could sell Chelsea’s future to Mudric, so this is the most attractive option.
“If I had a choice, I would choose Chelsea over Arsenal, not that I’m taking away from the good work Mikel Arteta and Arsenal have done, but I think the Blues are a good draft in three or four years. A club can always compete for silverware.
“So I wouldn’t be surprised if Mudric ends up at Stamford Bridge.”
