The order signed by Gov. Chris Sununu makes New Hampshire the 37th state to pass such regulations, according to the American-Israeli Action Coalition. Coalition Chairman Sean Evenheim praised Sunu for “standing up against discrimination based on national origin and championing the deep cultural and commercial ties between Israel and New Hampshire.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations denounced the order as a “direct attack on our First Amendment rights.” CAIR, the nation’s largest Muslim advocacy and civil rights organization, has successfully challenged similar laws in other states.
