Pre-bookings for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series in India will open ahead of the launch on February 1
Samsung announced on Wednesday that it will hold its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event on February 1. The South Korean smartphone brand has started pre-orders for its upcoming Galaxy S flagship smartphone in India. Although the brand hasn’t officially named the phones, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 lineup, which will include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Galaxy Pre-reserve VIP ticket costs Rs. 1,999 and the company is offering discounts worth Rs. 5,000 to registered customers for pre-orders. The new series continues the Galaxy S22 line that debuted last year.
The pre-booking page for the new Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones is now live on the Samsung India website. Smartphone enthusiasts who want to get the phones sooner can pay a token amount of Rs. 1,999 and get the ‘Next Galaxy VIP Ticket’. They can pre-book the phones before they go on sale. Pre-orders are available through Samsung Exclusive stores, Amazon and other major retail outlets.
Customers who pre-book the device will also be eligible for discounts worth Rs. 5000. Customers who purchase and activate the device before March 31 can avail this discount. Additionally, Samsung is offering a Samsung.com coupon worth Rs. 6,999 as advance reserve allowances. Shoppers who log in through the Samsung Shop app can avail Rs. 2000 welcome voucher and 2% loyalty points.
In addition, Rs. 1999 fee will be adjusted from the advance booking price of the phone. “The coupon, if not used before the pre-booking period, will be automatically canceled and Rs. 1,999 (pre-booking amount) will be refunded to the original payment source,” Samsung noted in the FAQ section of the pre-booking website.
Samsung’s next event Galaxy Unpacked 2023 will begin on February 1 at 11:30 PM IST and will be live streamed via the company’s official channels. Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Book 3 series are expected to be launched at the event.
The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra are expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Leaked renders of the devices have suggested a triple camera setup on the back, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra could feature a quad rear camera unit led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor. They are said to be priced the same as the Galaxy S22 line.
