SEE: Serena Williams Appearance at Vogue World runway show during New York Fashion Week
From the court to the catwalk, Serena Williams opened the Vogue World show during New York Fashion Week Monday, wearing a metallic silver Balenciaga outfit and a matching floor-length cape. She was joined by four “ball girls” in white tennis outfits and racquets in hand while a recording of Williams’ memorable 2000 NBC interview played in the background. I want individuals to remember me as the girl who changed tennis or just had the opportunity bring something new to the game, she said in the clip. Her participation in the event was confirmed as Selena Williams announced in her cover story for the September issue of Vogue that she was quitting tennis to focus on her family; stands in front of the magazine in a powder blue Balenciaga outfit, joined by her daughter Olympia.

Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Irina Shayk, Lila Greenery, Helena Christensen, Shalom Harlow and Karlie Kloss were all on display alongside famous people like Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Erykah Badu.
