A senior US official attended Holi celebrations in Delhi on Wednesday along with Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and S Jaishankar. With her face painted and garlanded in her Holi outfit, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo saw footsteps match the drumbeat.
Union Minister Kiren Ridjiju was also present at the celebrations held at Mr. Singh’s official residence. A performer decked out in peacock feathers entertained the crowd.
Ms. Raimondo will visit India from March 7-10 to attend the India-US Business Dialogue and CEO Forum. During it, he will discuss cooperation in various sectors to open up new trade and investment opportunities between India and the United States.
According to a statement from the US Department of Commerce, the US-India CEO Forum was soft-launched by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Ms. Raimondo last November.
