Sharna Burgess will not be returning for DWTS Season 31 after welcoming her son

Sharna Burgess took to her Instagram to reveal that she has decided to leave Dancing With the Stars as the show prepares for its upcoming season.

She shared on her Instagram story: ‘Hi, I have some news to tell you because I’ve been getting so many DMs about it.’

Burgess continued: “After long conversations and a lot of thinking and really trying to sit with what was right… I’ve made a really difficult decision not to do Dancing with the Stars this season. There was a list published that said I was going to be a pro and I wasn’t.’

The 37-year-old Australian dancer welcomed her first son, Zan, on June 28. He shares it with his friend Brian Austin Green.

She later shared that she wasn’t ready to stay away from her two-month-old baby just yet.

Burgess wrote: “I’m at 100% of my body capacity, I feel fit, I feel strong, I’m so ready to dance. I’m going to the gym right now.”

She further shared, “We’re going to talk about what that means and how I can be a part [DWTS]. I wasn’t ready to spend at least 10 hours a day away from Zane.’

Lindsay Arnold opens up about DWTS season 31 ending

Lindsay Arnold also took to social media. She shared a picture of herself with her husband, Samuel Lightner Cusick, and their one-year-old daughter, Sage.

The 28-year-old mother tied the knot with her high school sweetheart in 2015.

Arnold admitted that she is deciding to sit out the reality show because she wants to spend more time with her family and most likely expand it.

She wrote: ‘Just wanted to let you all know that I have decided not to be a part of Dancing With the Stars this season.’

The professional dancer added: “As many of you know, my family and I live in UT. In order to do DWTS, I have to move to LA with my daughter Sage and leave behind my husband, Sam, who works full-time here in Utah.”
