Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew, starring Jude Law and directed by Jon Watts, is coming to Disney+ Hotstar in 2023

Jude Law joins Star Wars. Lucasfilm announced on Thursday during its Star Wars Celebration 2022 event that Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar will receive a new Star Wars series in 2023. Titled Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew, this original series is directed by Jon Watts of Spider-Man: No Way Home fame. In fact, Watts directed Tom Holland’s entire Spider-Man trilogy. Watts is also executive producing the new Star Wars series alongside Christopher Ford, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. So far, only Lowe has been confirmed as a cast member for Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew.

Watts and Ford were at the event Thursday to shed some light on this upcoming series. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew follows the journey of a group of 10-year-old boys who must find their way home after getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy. Ford said that while there are children in the show, it’s not necessarily aimed at a younger audience. Watts added that Skeleton Crew aims to provide “a different take on the Star Wars universe.” The events of this series would take place at that time Mandalorian and a Boba Fett book that places the skeleton crew in the Star Wars timeline after Return of the Jedi.

Plus, Ewan McGregor stars Obi Wan Kenobi premiered on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in India and worldwide on Friday.

In addition, Lucasfilm has several other Star Wars shows. Then there is Andor, which will be available for streaming on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in August. The show follows the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna.

Ahsoka, a spin-off of The Mandalorian , has also just started filming. In addition, the mystery thriller series The Acolyte is scheduled for release in 2023.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will be available to stream on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in 2023.
