UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) – Connecticut Sun post Brionna Jones has undergone surgery and will miss the rest of the WNBA season with a torn right Achilles tendon, the team announced Saturday.
Jones suffered the injury just over a minute into Connecticut’s 85-79 win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. He had 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal before being sidelined.
The reconstructive surgery was performed Friday in Seattle, the team said.
