Tanya Pardazi’s life ended prematurely after a skydiving accident in Toronto, Canada, when her parachute failed to open. She succumbed to injuries sustained in a 4,000-foot fall.

Pardazi completed one ground training course at Skydive Toronto before continuing to skydive on September 3, 2022. Additionally, the course reportedly allowed her to take what the company called a “solo first jump course” by herself. .

Skydive Toronto initially reported that Pardazi died because she released her chute at “low altitude with no time” to inflate. However, new reports reveal that she was wearing an automatic parachute when she jumped.

According to the school’s official website, the course Pardazi took states that customers would “statically dive with automatic chute opening.”

The description goes on to read: ‘You will learn about your equipment, how to exit the aircraft, free fall body position (arc), canopy controls and emergency protocol.’

Additionally, he added, “This course includes a jump from a height of 4,000 feet. Sent by the Jumpmaster, you leave the plane attached to a static line that automatically deploys your main parachute during your fall within 5 seconds. The ground control instructor will give you radio instructions on how to navigate your parachute back to the landing pad!”

Many of Tanya Pardazi’s friends took to social media to talk about her death.

Pardazi’s friend, Kimia Sepanlou, wrote in an Instagram post: “It broke my heart because we never went on the trip to Bali together like we always talked about. But also with the terrifying ease of knowing that you’ve finally got an answer to what the afterlife looks like.’

He continues: “You were one in a million and you went out as one in a million. Wait for me on the other side.’

Meanwhile, Melody Ozgoli, another friend of Pardazi’s, talked about her during an interview with CTV News Toronto.

She claimed: ‘Tanya was interested in anything that was new and adventurous. Life was too boring for her and she was always trying to do something adventurous. She truly lived every second to the fullest.”
