The World Club Challenge All-Stars and Charity Shield: 2023 return with NRL pre-season matches

With the 2023 NRL season not kicking off until March 2, we won’t have to wait long to see some rugby league action.
The pre-season is shaping up to be a beauty, with the first World Club Challenge in three years coming in February.
Reigning title holders the Roosters will have to hand over the long-held trophy due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the 2022 Premier Penrith facing Super League champions St Helens at Bluebet Stadium.
The English tourists are making the most of their time in Australia, having booked a game against the Aussie Saints at the WIN Stadium. We also have a grand final match when Penrith take on Parramatta in the first week of pre-season.
Kiwi fans can watch the passion and emotion peak live. Men’s and women’s matches between Maori and local stars will be played in all halves.
We also prepare for the 40th Charity Shield between the Red V and the Bunnies, with the southerners boasting 22 wins. The Dragons broke a decade-long drought against their rivals in 2022 and will be looking to do so again when they return to Mudgee.
It will also be your first chance to see the NRL’s newest franchise, the Dolphins. Wayne Bennett and his men face their Queensland neighbors the Cowboys and the Titans.
Check out the full list of all preseason action with each game available on Fox League and Kayo.
