It is time for the North to pay back Tinubu – Shettima
The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, says now is the time for the North to repay the electoral support the party’s flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has given the region over the years.

Shettima, who spoke yesterday in Abuja during the unveiling of vehicles for the Tinubu/Shettima door to door people mobilization campaign donated by the speakers of the APC Northern State House of Assembly, said the APC presidential candidate has always given everything to the North.
He cited Tinubu’s role in providing platforms for the presidential ambitions of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in 2007, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu in 2011 and President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.

In his keynote address at the 80th birthday celebration of elder statesman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, in Owerri, Imo State, on Saturday, Jonathan said Nigerians should emulate Rwandans in overcoming their national challenges.
The ex-president said Nigerians have been politicized along ethnic lines at the expense of national cohesion.
He called on Nigerians to use the 2023 general elections to right the wrongs.
4 killed, score wounded as B/Haram Invades Ngulde
At least four people have been killed, including the Chief Imam of Gima, and several others sustained various degrees of injuries when armed members of Boko Haram terrorists invaded Ngulde Community Local Government Area of Askira-Uba, Borno.

The terrorists, according to investigation, were only holed up in Tuga, a riverine community but now abandoned and took advantage of access to Ngulde as the roads connecting Tuga Garambal, Garkida and some parts of Adamawa, Hawul or Askira- Uba communities remained inaccessible due to flooding and strong waves.
The terrorists also looted cattle and food without confrontation, after setting fire to two vehicles, as Ngulde is a remote agrarian community located in some parts of Sambisa forest.
Major General Abdullahi died in Dubai
Retired Major General Abdullahi Iyanda Muraina is said to have died at a private hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

In a statement issued by the Acting Registrar of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Jude Iheanacho, the 64-year-old former Chief of Accounts and Budget, Nigerian Army Command, was confirmed dead.
Although his death was confirmed, no cause of death was explained in the statement.
