Tom Holland Taking A Break From Social Media, Send His Mental Health ‘spiralling’
Spider-Man star Tom Holland is taking a break from all kinds of social media platforms after trolls and things about him online sent his mental health spiraling. The Briton took to Instagram to post a final video before his hiatus to explain to fans why he won’t be as active and posting on social media for a while. While he didn’t know how long he would be taking a break, the Marvel star was praised for being open and discussing his mental health.
Tom Holland has taken to Instagram to say he is distancing himself from all kinds of social media platforms for his mental well-being, and has encouraged his followers to share his message. Tom Holland previously deleted his Instagram account, but he still came back to the account. A lot of celebrities don’t manage social media, but Tom Holland has a fair share of his posts. Tom Holland runs a charity called The Brothers Trust which supports an app called Stem4 which aims to help teenagers with their emotional health. He supported applications when discussing his own problems.

His most recent appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home just took him to new heights as the film turned into the most notable non-Avengers film in MCU history behind Tom Holland’s stellar performance. During his tenure in the MCU, Holland’s social media presence has proven to be truly normal, racking up nearly 75 million consolidated followers across his Twitter and Instagram accounts. He definitely used this presence to do more than promote his films, and he also became a major part of The Brother’s Trust, a foundation set up by Tom Holland’s family that helps provide funding and support to various causes in need.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star recently stopped his on-stage promotions to take a seat, and it looks like it’s time again, as the entertainer took to Instagram to say he’s taking a step back from the frenzy. he is set to delete his Instagram and Twitter handles from his phone for his emotional well-being. The 26-year-old entertainer shared his concerns with fans in a video clip, saying: “I find Instagram and Twitter overwhelming, almost too powerful,” then continued: “I get and I spiral when I read things about myself on the web and ultimately it is extremely harmful to my mental state.’
Holland began his statement by revealing that he had been trying to upload the video for various amounts of time but couldn’t get through, according to the comic: “Hey guys, I’ve been trying to do this for an hour and for someone who did it, it took the last 13, 14 years, no matter how long I play, I can’t say what I have to say by thinking without ‘purring’ and ‘wasting’ like clockwork. So I’ll try again. He continued: “So I took some time off from social media to feel good about myself.” After appealing his reasons, Tom closed and I decided to take a step back and delete the app.
