Additionally, during the interview, Fox admitted that she did not contact Jada Pinkett Smith after she called her.
Regardless, Fox doesn’t seem to hold any ill feelings toward Jada Pinkett Smith’s husband Will Smith.
She said: “I think they’re really going through a healing period right now.”
The 58-year-old actress added: “Listen, I love Will Smith. He is one of my favorite people on the planet. We all make mistakes. If anyone deserves a second chance, it’s him. I think he has taken full responsibility for his actions and apologized.”
She ended her response by saying: “I just hope that we can all move forward from the incident and see that it must never happen again, especially on such a big stage.”
Vivica A. Fox rebuked Jada Pinkett Smith’s reaction
Vivica A. Fox made headlines when she appeared on The Wendy Williams Show in June.
During the episode, the South Bend native tearfully responded to Jada Pinkett Smith’s statement regarding the incident.
Fox claimed: ‘I just wish we had a little bit more responsibility and it didn’t seem so self-conscious on Jada’s part, and that’s how I feel.’
In case you didn’t know, Jada addressed her husband’s actions on Red Table Talk in early June.
The Daytime Emmy winner said at the time, “My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal and talk about it and reconcile. With the state of the world today, we need both of them.”
Meanwhile, Will Smith shocked the world when he punched host Chris Rock at the Academy Awards ceremony held on March 27, 2022. Regardless, he won Best Actor later that night for his role in King Richard.
The Men in Black actor faced a lot of backlash after the incident. He was banned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the next decade.
