In the video, Ice Spice can be seen performing in the center of the stage as a generally unexcited crowd looks on. Halfway through the video, he bends down and starts twerking, then goes back to trying to keep up with the backup track. Houston was a tough crowd for Ice Spice, jsymoned noted in the posted clip.

The video has since gone viral and Ice Spice has taken heat via social media for his performance. ‘NEVER try to play a show in Houston without a catalog lol at least 3 songs, one individual posted about the video on Twitter. Another person challenged Ice Spice to twerk and not rap. Her signature move doesn’t work, she can be washed, he tweeted. Someone else wouldn’t place the blame for the little reaction solely on Ice Ice Spice’s performance. “Houston was definitely not an ‘extreme group’ for Ice Spice,” a Twitter user shared. “Southerners don’t like this kind of music in New York, including me. Ice Spice seems to be responding to the negative criticism of her set. On Friday, September 30, she shared a photo of herself at a club that night in Houston on Twitter. She captioned the photo: “Pretty paid and unmolested.”
