What is TikTok Now?

Now TikTok lets you take a 10-second video or photo and share it with your friends. You will receive daily challenges at the same time as your friend and you will be able to shoot something of your choice.

Similar to Snapchat, but with a twist, the app hopes to create more connections between people by allowing them to do something at the same time, even when they’re not together.

Other things you should know about this feature

TikTok Now is currently available within the app as well as a standalone app. It depends on the location you are trying to access it from.

It’s important to note that if you want to view your friends’ TikToks, you would have to post one of your own first. While you will be able to access your past TikTok Nows, unfortunately you won’t be able to do the same for your friend.

You must be 13 years or older to use this feature. Meanwhile, you must be 14 years or older if you are from South Korea or Indonesia.

Users over the age of 18 will have three minutes to create a video for this feature.
