‘I just remember how scary it was’

Screenwriter Christopher J Moore recently spoke with Script about the inspiration behind the film.

“When I was in college, I went to Southern Illinois University Carbondale and I was born and raised in LA,” he says, explaining that he and his friends once “went from Southern Illinois through Atlanta to Florida, Tallahassee and Ft. Myers. And I’m a kid from LA, and I’m like, ‘Oh, okay. This is different.” Some truly terrifying, terrifying journeys.”

He continued, “…I just remember how scary some of those dark roads were. And you turn off the lights, it’s like closing your eyes, you know what I mean?”

End of the Road is now streaming on Netflix.
