A 2016 Washington Post article read: “Their music seamlessly blends groovy house music, stuttering British garage, restless electronica and—perhaps most notably—Ethiopian folk music.”

Subsequently, during an interview with the magazine, Eklund said at the time, “Ethiopian music is very different. There are only four or five musical scales in which they play; each has its own meaning, attitude and mood.’

A second article in the Post called him “one of Washington’s most exciting dance music producers.”

They continued: “It’s not because he combines styles from all over the world, it’s because he’s spent a lot of his young life learning how to interact with different kinds of people.”
