She earned an athletic scholarship to North Carolina State University where she competed for the NC State Wolfpack women’s gymnastics program from 1997 to 2000 and is credited with an all-time top 10 in program experience. On November 22, 1998, while attending North Carolina State College, Haney threw a party that ended in a fatal shooting. She was charged with an alcohol offense and allegedly evaded prosecution. Maggie Haney began coaching in New Jersey in 2007. She had somewhere around one athlete from her program on the national team roaster from 2013 to 2020. Those competitors were Laurie Hernandez (2013-2016), Jazmyn Foberg (2014-2015), Riley McCusker (2016-2020) and Olivia Greaves (2018-2020). Led by Maggie Haney, the MG Elite gymnasts were known for their dancing ability and imagination.

Maggie Haney’s cause of death

Accidental death was the cause of death for Maggie Elaine Haynie. Her family has not explored this period in recent discussion. According to several reports, it is still unclear whether Maggie Haynie’s injuries related to the accident had a say in her cause of death. On October 6, 2022, Maggie Haynie and her boyfriend Jimmy were riding their bike when a deer rushed in front of them and caused an accident. According to the Escondido Sheriff’s Office, a woman was riding the bike.

Emergency responders responded to the scene and found a bicycle in the wreckage and a woman with life-threatening injuries, later identified as Maggie Haynie of Escondido, California. She was later reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. Funeral plans for Maggie Haynie have not yet been revealed by her loved ones. Additionally, her obituary has not yet been published.
