Reports claim that Big Chungus will potentially join the roster of MultiVersus characters.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Will Big Chungus be a new character in MultiVersus?

According to recent reports, free-to-play (F2P) fighting game MultiVersus might add a new playable character, Big Chungus, to its roster.

The rumor comes after a screenshot showing the trademark application surfaced online.

On August 26, Warner Bros reportedly filed a trademark case with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for Big Chungus.

The legal documents further state that the trademark for Big Chungus is to be used in all conceivable media. It includes audiovisual media, clothing, toys, entertainment services, literature and theme parks and many more.

In addition, the trademark allows Warner Bros. use the character for different types of goods. However, it is speculated that the studio house will instead introduce him as a fighter in MultiVersus.

Also, since this is a live game, a lot of content will eventually be added to it. Also, the fame of Chungus the Great currently exceeds the popularity of WB’s mute characters.

Meanwhile, it is undecided whether the round rabbit is another cosmetic for Bugs Bunny or a new character. However, the speculation has sparked a heated debate between fans and players on several social media platforms.

Also, even though Big Chungus is a new character, he won’t be added until later.

This is because Rick Sanchez, Stripe (Gremlins) and Black Adam are to be introduced in the first season. So it is very likely that Big Chungus will not debut until the second season of the game.

Who is Chungus the Great?

Chungus the Great was a pre-existing figure as of December 20, 1941.

Additionally, he made his first ever appearance in a Looney Tunes short called “Wabbit Twouble”. During the clip, Bugs Bunny puffs up to mock Elmer Fudd, marking the debut of Big Chungus.

Regardless, she did not become a recognized figure until 77 years later, in 2018, when she was brought back to life. She became popular after appearing in the form of a meme.

Meanwhile, a Reddit user shared an image of a fake PS4 game case that featured an image of Bugs Bunny being stretched to make fun of Elmer Fudd. A social media user called the post “Big Chungus”.
