Will mail be delivered on Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2023?

(NEXSTAR) – Waiting for an Amazon courier or package? You won’t see him on Monday.
As usual, the US Postal Service will observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday.
This means you will not receive mail on Monday and your local post office will be closed. An exception is Priority Mail Express, which delivers “every day, year-round, with limited exceptions,” according to the USPS.
Regular mail services will resume on Tuesday, January 17.
Amazon also does not deliver packages. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is one of seven paid holidays for Amazon employees, according to the company’s website.
UPS says it will have regular service on Monday as most FedEx services – FedEx Express and Ground Economy – are altered.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day always falls on the Monday closest to his birthday, January 15th. This year the holiday will be celebrated on January 16.
The next holiday that you will not receive mail via USPS is Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 20th. You can see a complete list of USPS-designated holidays on its website.
Amazon, UPS and FedEx will be available on Presidents Day, according to their websites.
