WTAMU Alumni Association launches directory for Buff-owned businesses

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – West Texas A&M University’s Alumni Association has launched a directory to highlight “Buff-owned” businesses.

The idea evolved from the praise of established “Buff-owned” window stickers used to represent WT graduate businesses.

The alumni association then developed the online directory with a mission to connect WT entrepreneurs with the local community.

“We’re looking at different options right now that we’re hoping to grow this into more than social media and the web page,” said Ronnie Hall, executive director, WTAMU Alumni Association.

“Buffs really do want to support Buffs, so I think this will be something that we’ll have from now on,” said Hall.

One of the businesses in the directory is Journey Coffee, a coffee shop located in Canyon, Texas.

“Being proud alumni, it was a no brainer for us joining the directory,” said Noah Littlejohn, co-owner of Journey Coffee.

“I think this really helps community connection because a lot of people will look to that directory first to support WT,” said Littlejohn.
